Like Tcoat said many things could cause it. Sometime my steering wheel vibrates, sometimes my shifter, sometimes both. Usually it means I need to rotate the tires, my alignment is off, or a wheel is not balanced.
I would start there, especially if it seems to get worse the faster you go indicating its rotational. |

Unrelated note - is 86Drive only in the East Bay? Or do you guys do South Bay and Peninsula stuff too?

But 86Drive is just our driving group, Norcal86 hosts meets year round. If you want to hit up a meet in those areas check out the Southbay bi-weekly meet or Peninsula bi-weekly meet threads in the norcal subforum. |

Speedy, the accelerator isn't mechanically connected to anything but the floor board. You can think of it as a foot-operated volume control.
Something else is vibrating and you just happen to feel it there.

Is the throttle spring-assisted like the clutch? Could this be the issue?

No. There's a spring but it's a really simple return spring. Think of the trigger on a cordless drill.
