Vibrating gas pedal?

Hey everyone,

I've been experiencing a really weird thing recently - my accelerator vibrates when I hold it at cruising speeds and it makes my foot tingle/feel like it's going to fall asleep. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions? Car has 28k miles, so I could bring it to the dealer, but it seems like one of those issues where they would say "oh we can't feel it" and waste my time.

Thank you!

Well, that's a new one, for me at least.

Are you sure it's the accelerator pedal assembly itself or what it's attached to, that is vibrating ...??

You might check to see that it's bolted down tight.

If you use the cruise control, does your foot still tingle (careful, that's a trick question ....;)).

Next ......:iono:

I call on @Ultramaroon to see if that old fool is still up. I'm sure he will have some sort of cocka mame theory ......:D

There are no other vibrations in the car? Steering wheel, shifter, etc?

I'll have to check the pedal assembly, but it doesn't seem like it's anything else. Steering wheel or seats/chassis don't vibrate, the only thing is that the shifter vibrates a decent amount.

Did you change tires recently? When I run my snow tires everything vibrates. I get used to it.
Anything change that could impact alignment? Pothole hit, etc?
It may be something along that line where the vibration is just enough to be felt though the smaller fittings such as the pedal mount and shift lever. Could be so many things you may need to slowly work through process of elimination.

"You got mud in your tires" Get your tires rotated and balanced.

I wish I sprung for the "foot massager" option.

We DO NOT want to know what you would do with the vibrating shifter option.
