Yeah, I'm not too worried about it. Like you said, if everything's perfect, it's still really tight. Between all the mismatched aftermarket parts I have, it's to be expected every once in a while, I guess.

I did not realize that's the reverse lockout plate. I thought the flat black plate that the four 10mm bolts go through was the reverse lockout plate. Man, this is great news. But I hope I can find it.

I was super confused about it. I eventually just chalked it up to magic. That was months ago though, so I've gotten used to the idea of it running on magic. Now I totally see it just smacks into the vertical part of the plate.

Swap that out for our bushings and make sure that the angle of the shifter points towards the back. I ran that same setup on my BRZ before i sold the DS and had no issues.
Feel free to email me directly if you have any other questions.
Tom whats your email ? I just installed my driveshaft and i got same issue, mine is aluminum driveshaft. Im not really down to grind the shift link, like anthony fixed, is there any other way to fix this issue?

You could probably put washers underneath the base of the shifter. Personally, I'd rather grind the linkage because it doesn't offset the geometry at all, but I'd be willing to bet that would work.

Just kidding. I just watched that second video I posted and remembered the black plate with the 4 bolts doesn't determine the height of the shifter. So... grinding it is still my only idea.
