What sold me on this intake was the increased air volume and straighter intake track.
Can you get any straighter than the FA20 or AMR CAI?
Can you get more air volume than Perrin, FA20 or AMR?
Intake Air Temperature has to be higher if the airbox/filter is in the engine compartment

I think he meant the path from the air filter to the throttle body is straight, because perrin, FA20, AMR all have huge long tubes with lots of bends.

Yep, that is what I was talking about. I am not hating on those other intakes.

The throttle response is improved significantly. I am by no means claiming to be an expert and engine/exhaust modifications wise I am only running TRD CAI and TRD exhaust. Was running the exhaust by itself since day 1, so I never had a comparison. After installing the CAI, noticeably better response on the throttle input.

I can see response increasing for sure and that alone is a plus to me considering I have found most aftermarkets give you a bit of a lag

Nice, reminds me of the spoon & J's racing snorkels for the S2k! This should do better than the stock snorkels.

Not the true cold air intakes. Should see the thread where the guy modified his Injen intake into a full CAI and eliminated the bogging down and rough idle with 3 1/2 piping.

Yea but he also had to remove the radiator shroud in the process. That will affect the efficiency of the radiator for sure.

210 HP

I would be interested in seeing a back to back between the stock and celeb race cars.

I have a friend who is fond of stating: "A man without data has nothing but an opinion and his D!@% in his hand"

I have no reason to believe this isn't the best intake on the market, there appears to be a nice volute heading into the MAF tube, a nice big "plenum" of sorts and as much or more cold air as any of the aftermarket options. all with less restriction, and since TRD has all the engine data it is much easier for them to determine the correct volume box to make the motor happy.

I predict that the Intake won't make the best peak number but I am Certain it will produce the best average numbers, you'd be amazed what an OEM can do with airflow calculations.
I think the man said,: "it adds 8 to 11 HP. call it 10." I don't think he mentioned a total HP. The car is nominally a 200 HP engine, though we all know that's not at the rear wheels.

Yea, with the paper thin radiator this car has, it needs all the help it can get.
