May not be relavant as I bought and installed a JVC unit, but I routed my mic up to where the oem mic is located as well. Popped out the existing mic tried to find some way to have mine behind the oem mic cover. Sadly my mic is somewhat akwardly shapped and can't really fit in cleanly. So the mic is attached to the old mic to hold it in place. The one person i've called said that all they heard was wind(you may have more luck). So i've resorted to just popping off the cover and having the mic stick out from the top lining when make/recieve a call until i can find a more permanent solution for it.

And in regards to gps antenna location. I stuck mine behind my headunit on the metal bar and it hasn't had any issues with getting reception (but again, different unit). So it may be a clean solution if people that don't want to stick it under the windshield on the dash or route it around to another location in the car.

you want to bypass the speed sensor so you can use the navi/dvd while in motion.

if you dont know how to repin your harness i suggest you order this kit.

or you can do it yourself. plenty of instructions on you tube. pretty simple to do.

The blue wire on your antennae adapter is a remote wire to tell the antennae to turn on, there should be a blue and a blue/white wire on the radio harness, blue is amp turn on and blue/white is the one you want.

These should work for you, I'm not 100%. I work sales at a car audio shop so I have a good amount of knowledge on this stuff and have done installs before, but I'm not an installer. I can double check with some of my guys when I get back to work but right now I'm sitting at an audi dealer getting a radio code programmed.

Were you ever able to look up the VSS wire and reverse wire? I have the 920bt and already have the override done to that so I can use the speed sensor for more accurate GPS plotting and other features yet still allow my passenger to enter destinations and all that fun stuff.

I am going to try to do my install over the xmas break if I can find the time (And all parts are in since I'm waiting on a backup camera). Anyway, I appreciate the help on the wire locations.

Actually, I might have found the answer in another thread:

Looks to be pin 17 of the 28 pin harness. Wire color Pink/Green.

I'll post back once I've gotten around to doing the install to verify if that was it or not.

Yes its the Pink/Green. Same wire I used here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15239 to bypass the factory nav

I didnt read through all the posts but Reverse wire should be pin #2 on the 28 harness and the VSS is pin #17 on the 28 pin harness. Pin #9 on the 10 pin harness should be the remote turn on for the factory amp. Power Antenna wire from the HU should hook up to the blue wire from the antenna adapter.

VSS is pin #17. But, on the Scion, there is no wire going to pin #2 in that harness. Which kinda sucks, because that would make setting the new HU up super easy. haha.
