You will find that even though the cabin is warming there is an artic level cold front coming from under the seat. The temperance variance is so great it is a wonder that thunderstorms don't develop down there. I figure that the cabin layout simply does not let the warm air flow well enough to even out the temperature and the rear stays cold enough to push through to my feet for pretty much my whole 45 minute commute. Now I just shove an old towel under the seat for the winter and my feet are as warm as the rest of me. In fact I now rarely turn the fan above 2 no matter how cold it is outside.
Same experience.

With the auto HVAC stuff sometimes mine doesn't turn the foot vents on so I need to do it manually and it can help with warming up the bottom area, but it's definitely not as fast as above.

The cabin itself can get pretty hot quickly, within 8-15 minutes of actual driving for sure (once you're done sitting at red lights for 10 minutes..).

LOL Not sure we are talking the same level of "cold" though. I am talking literally freezing the moisture on your shoes as you drive cold.

Well I guess that I do recall a bunch of guys wearing winter coats and shivering while the two northerners in shorts and tee shirts looked on. In October.

The worst was my Corvair. I never could find where to put the coolant into it.

Same with the 911. I just add it to the oil.

On my VW bug, I just poured the coolant down that vent over the deck lid of the engine compartment -
