Still going to try to get a little oil out since ive read in other car forums too much oil can cause low pressure as well.

And will try to reset the ecu so it learns the new intake .

If these don't work I will have to suck it up and waste my day off in a dealership.
What all have you done other than the intake? If measured hot it would look high you need to follow the instructions in the manual on how to check oil. Not likely to cause a low pressure light if just a little over full.

The 15s have very little history of oil issues.

It all depends if it is fixed free under warranty at the dealer , or if you like burning your own money on an engine that could soon deploy in pieces all over the road!

did you not read the light only comes on at 600 rpm and is flickering at 700 rpm. If I blip the throttle it goes away.

I will take the others advice and check to make sure something was not plugged in the morning.

Mate the oil pressure light is just a switch it come on at extremly low , virtully nil oil pressure something like 2psi or less.

Im rearly hoping its just a faulty sender.

Ring dealer imediatly , dont drive the car.

I wouldnt let on to the dealer you have been driving it for days with that issue as they could likely use that against you if their is any serious damage.

That light should never ever come on in normal operation of the car even at idle and efen at 500 rpm let alone at 600 or 700.

I'm sure such low pressure would make for a noisy valve train and maybe stumbling since the VVT needs oil to properly function? Unless our VVT is electronically adjusted? I never got into the VVT in our cars.I'm thinking it's just a sensor issue as said above.

Unfortunately this is true. My idle fluctuates and can dip down to 400 RPM at times (once the engine has warmed up). Oil pressure drops to like 3-4 psi and the idiot oil light has never once even blinked on for me.

Solved!

thankfully I looked into this before overreacting and screaming at the dealership to come tow my lemon away but the error is mine.

Looks like this pinched vacuum line to the pcv valve? was most likely the culprit.

Also did what I said I was going to last night and reset the ecu. Added some dielectric grease to keep them rust free while the terminals were off.

Also check the oil levels cold and hot.

Cold

Hot after settling 10 mins after.

Took it for a spirited run. Idle is right around 650 rpms with NO LIGHT!
