Is there any reason you couldn't use a vacuum bleeder if you didn't have a helper handy?

Not sure but I don't see why not if it's effective. I've never used one so I cannot say definitively.

I found a 5/16" wrench actually worked better. The 8mm started to slip. I replaced my line with the MTec line, but as I look, I wish I bought the Chase Bays line. Replaces from the reservoir to the Transmission. The Mtec replaces just the rubber portion. I noticed that my car get's into gear much easier, especially when cold.

I did notice when I was bleeding (really needed some help with that) that I actually had debris in the reservoir. I'm have to replace all the fluid.

I've never bleed clutch before. Is this similar to bleeding brakes. Clutch in then bleed?

exactly the same. Get a friend to help out. Press clutch, open bleeder valve, close valve, release clutch.

Repeat.

Make sure you don't run out of clutch fluid!

Clutch Pedal Stays Down?

Are you supposed to pull the clutch pedal back up after you crack and close the valve?

Or is it supposed to come back up by itself?

It's supposed to come back up on its own.

It will not come back by itself unless you have removed the helper spring.
