Heck I have the AT and I swapped with another guy for a stock 4.10 diff after I went supercharged. I won't lie...it's kinda nice being able to easily hit 60mph in 2nd and also cruise along at 80 mph at ~2500-2600 RPM.

MT. I drive it to and from track only. If I had to daily it I would do it gladly.
80mph it does 4k rpm 6th.

its not bad at all.

I think it was somewhere in the $800-900 range if I recall correctly. I paid some to have the local shop uninstall/reinstall the diff as well and the total bill was around $1200.

But keep in mind I had more damaged parts due to Ron's Automotive screwing it up so bad.

If I could redo it all again, I'd drop the diff myself, package it up myself, and send it out to Weir to have it professionally rebuilt with the new gears. Then just put it back in myself as well. It's not hard at all. Just plan on not driving your car for two weeks.

It's debatable as to whether or not it's worth it, you still need to remove and install your own diff, then ship it out for a core charge. It may be worth it though to have it done right, I'd love to see peoples reviews of the service.

Small world that it is....I'm having Xsnapshot's 4.88 FD installed tomorrow morning! It's the one that he sold to another local guy when he went boosted and back to stock, and now that guy is trading his car in and want's to go back to stock!
....and the FD keeps going round and round.....

This. I'll pay the premium to have a built FD sent to me so it can be switched out in a day and I can send the core back as this is my DD and I can't imagine going through what xsnapshot did.

That's my plan next summer anyway Spencer fabrication gained my vote after speaking to them over the phone

Garage
I bought a FRS/BRZ rear carrier on Ebay for $165 + $150 shipping. $315 total. I'm having my Weir 4.88 gears installed in it for another $300. Then, as I get ready for my first track event, I'll swap pumpkins, change oils and fluids, install track pads, and do whatever else I need to do to get ready.
