As long as you are young at heart, that's all that matters.

Just... don't break your hip.

If you want another fun car, why not look at an Alfa 4C or a Lotus Evora?

Having a fiat 500e, I know how poorly made an alfa will be. But it won't be as poorly made as a lotus.

Okay, if it's just a fun car you are looking for you need something along the lines of these:

Dodge Hellcat would be boring and slow next to an ariel atom... especially this one:

The GM LSA 6.2-liter V8 mounted just behind the cabin is said to be almost completely stock and the exhaust is equipped with catalytic converters. Dyno results show a healthy 552 wheel horsepower on 91 octane. A Quaife 6-speed sequential gearbox and an ATB differential work to put the 530+ pound feet of torque on the tarmac — quite adequate power for a 1,900-pound machine.

He said it was a hell of a car.

The Caterhams have long been a dream car of mine, ever since seeing my first Prisoner episode. However, I'm not fan of tinkering all the time to make things work. It gets on my nerves and I eventually give up. Every Caterham I see at the track has somebody working on it at some point.

I wouldn't get an Atom because, as far as I can tell, the DP2 is superior. Palatov owned an Atom and produced upgraded parts for it because he saw the flaws and knew how to fix them. A DP2 with a full body, electric windows, and enough padding inside to eliminate the need for a helmet... That would be amazing.

So a $50k-$75k "rocketship" is the jist right? Based on what's already been said I also support the C7.

But an alternative is saving up for a bit longer and finding your way into a GTR, sounds like something you'd like.

Personally in that price range I'd be looking at Cayman or 911 hands down with a test drive of the 4C, but I'd rather have 7 $10k cars than 1 $70k car at this point in my life.

The same amount you spent on underglow kits, carbon fiber hood and rims for your scion.

Do you know what you really want? I mean... a Tesla Model X is VERY expensive and a totally different car. Sure, it might be fast in a straight line, but......... it's not a sports car, and that's in the same price range as a GTR or new NSX...

Why not have a normal car + a REAL rocket ship like an Ariel Atom or similar extreme vehicle instead of just a high priced luxury sedan?

Clearly I don't know what I want.

A Tesla X would allow fun, make the wife happy, and allow towing a purpose built car to the track. Then I could get a Spec Ford Racer or something that will be fast and safer than a regular car at the track.

Like I said, I thought about a DP2. It makes the Atom just look half-assed.

I also have dreams of Spec Miata or Karting in the back of my mind, I miss wheel to wheel action. But I'm cheap and karting has the beauty of being able to use a beat up little pickup truck.

Lots of track guys seem to have an X5 as their tow vehicle, they were 1:1 with Chevy's as the Porsche guys filed into the track I was at on Friday...

Screw the X5. A 550i Gran Tourismo with a JB4!

Yeah, another car I've thought about. Then again, I've already owned a 550i E60. Not sure I want to spend all that time at the BMW dealership.

I'm not a fan of karting. It might be because the fumes in the last place I went made me nauseous. It might be the insane lack of bodily protection. It might be that constantly turning makes me nauseous too. It's probably all of those. I'll take a cage and a full-sized track any day of the week. I don't autocross either.
