My car has gotten attention since day 1, it got worse when I put the Valenti lights on...
Nothing like having new exotic cars chase you down just to see that you're some silly Subaru

To keep it brief, I told them it's a little section of Toyota. They looked at me, looked at the car, looked at me again, did another take of the car and asked for the price tag. Their mouths opened wide when I mentioned the price. |

With the Cayman you're paying for more than just straight line. I would rather have a Cayman S PDK(70k) with a 0-60-1/4 mile of 4.1-12.8 seconds than a Hellcat(65k) at 3.6-11.6 seconds. But you can have something that still handles well and still accelerates well in a C7 Z51 for about 60k.

Wanted the Cayman S and was ready to purchase (was $72k the way I had it ordered) Found a Supplier Discount program for the Vette. Realized I could get a Z51 manual Vette custom ordered for $56k. Loving my Vette to death. Its a Chevy so she does not have near the fit/finish the Porsche would have had. But she's $16K cheaper than the Porsche!

Buy a cargo van, deck it out with an entertainment system with satellite television, and make it your mobile man cave.

The F-Type is meant to be competition for the 911, not the Boxster/Cayman. Totally basic without options it's already $66K before TTL (but including delivery).
I would go the hatch/wagon/SUV/truck route if you plan to keep the FR-S. Then you have a fun vehicle and a more practical/workhorse vehicle (which can still be plenty nice).

We already have a forester and a 500e fiat. I want another fun car. I also have a man cave so I don't need a mobile one. First world problems here.

Why not buy used? Can save a lot of money by acquiring something 1-2 years old with only a few miles on the odometer.

Hard to get the options you want in a used Porsche for a decent price. I think I want a rocket ship anyway. The Model X is calling me. 3.2 to 60 with ludicrous upgrade.
