It's around $1.99 in Houston.

What's the wait time on these kits if I order now?

You're looking at about a one to two week lead time currently, maybe a few days on top of that. We have a batch of about 10-15 more that we're starting this week hopefully if the parts come in. Cleared out our current inventory and have to hold the rest for the local guys who already made appointments.

Once we get these built we should be able to get them shipped within a day or two.

Until then, here's a red/blue kit we put together, I have to say it looks really awesome and would match a WRB quite nicely!

Kits are back in stock!!! We made a much larger run this time so if all goes well inventory should be good.

For those watching the FI section, we have recently moved to the Sprintex 335 system. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=78589

This has presented some amazing power gains, but its own challenges keeping knock counts down on pump gas. As a supercharger has no boost controller (aside from pulley swaps) and we're already on the largest pulley there is, we're using the flex fuel mapping to reduce power in other ways in addition to just fuel correction. Combined with EcuTek RaceROM we're able to reduce power as follows:

Cam overlap. By increasing overlap in the lower ranges, we are reducing the effective boost/cylinder pressures. Automatically scalable using ethanol output.

Ignition timing. We implemented a more aggressive ignition retard for pump gas. The higher the boost, the more you can get away with on e85, the less on pump. So while at 7 psi it may be a 5 or 6 degree difference, at 18 psi it is more. Automatically scalable using ethanol output.

Throttle control. This is the final piece, and no doubt most effective. You can reduce torque output using custom maps and/or throttle trim to reduce boost. This takes the guess work out and leaves the throttle more progressive! Selected via map switch.

Most of these things are set up via custom map using the flex fuel percentage, with the exception of throttle control. All in all it allows for something as radical as 18 psi to work on the stock motor!

Going forward there have been some comparisons made to other kits, and lets keep a few things straight:

Our kit does NOT mess with important engine sensors. That means you get to keep your rear o2 (unless the "budget" option is chosen), you get to keep your MAF/MAP, and only the evap system is tapped into. This can be easily disconnected for emissions. With this method, you are NOT locked into any tuner's methodology.

Display: While you can look through your datalogs for voltage/custom map output, our kits include a display that you can see in real time without needing any third party tools.

Quality AN fittings: We don't offer a "plastic" kit and when AN fittings are selected, ours is the cheapest especially when you get the actual display!

I selected the budget option, so where do I go to see the ethanol content on my laptop?

Lines and sensor are installed and ready to go. Just need tuned.

We set up custom map "J" to report the e content. Also you can check your rear o2 voltage as well. It is a linear 0-5v representing 0-100 e%. Map J will report the actual percentage.

Very interested in this kit, especially since I just found out the Sunoco down the street from me sells corn! Do you have any deals for getting the kit and ECUtek cable/license together (everything I'd need to go from bone stock to flex fueled)?

Also, can you elaborate on the necessity of purging the PI line for a DD car? Is the PI line used during normal driving, or only when the DI line runs out of steam? Does the included map with the kit do the purge? Is it necessary every time you fill up?

So I finally got another job and can afford things now. It looks like $649 + $350 for the kit and tune, will this fully cover my built motor (9:1 compression) with 20psi turbo?

I plan on getting the turbo rebuilt before anything so it will be fresh. I'd also like 2 separate tunes if possible; 15psi on 93 and 20psi on E85.

Did you ever get an answer on this? I'm curious about the pricing for N/A.

Would it be:

$649 Flexfuel kit
$199 tune
$329 Ecutek ProECU cable kit (would this be good enough to log?)

You got it that'll take care of it.

What you'll want is here: http://www.moto-east.com/store/ft86/...-kit-ft86.html which lists all the options for the tunes.

Another thing I want to answer is a question we get pretty much on a daily basis. Which harness, evap or rear o2?

The answer to this is dependent on the following:

Will you need another input for a wideband o2 or failsafe? Is there no emissions requirement? Looking for the most affordable option?

Answer for these is rear o2.

If you need a secondary input then you need both. To reset the rear o2 monitor it takes a gas tank or so sometimes. If you have emissions to do annually and the car doesn't see a ton of use, then it is a PITA to reset the o2 sensor monitor. With the evap option, you simply disconnect it from the eca, flash in a non-flex fuel tune, and monitors are reset much quicker.

Is the harness difficult to install, or is just intercepting the lines or something?

I'm all for the easiest option as emissions isn't a thing for me. Easiest/cleanest is best for me even if it does cost more.

If you pull the glove box the evap harness isn't that bad. If you're looking for easiest then the rear o2 is it since you just run the one wire across the engine bay then.

Is there an advantage I'm not seeing to the harness?

Also, I'm thinking about doing this in April or May. How long does tuning take once installation has been completed?

I also probably need you guys to consult me on whether or not I need to upgrade my fuel pump and injectors. Right now I'm pushing 350whp on 93/meth at 20psi. I'd like to push for 425whp if possible with this same turbo.

I definitely need everything bought and installed before thinking about tuning.
