The Subaru BRZ continues to be spotted by individuals outside of the auto show environment. Seen in these new sighting photos is a BRZ on a transport truck in Oregon, and a BRZ being prepped for the Montreal Auto Show on January 13th.
The Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S will make their North American debuts tomorrow, at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS), so be sure to tune in for more details on both cars!

Top Gear Magazine’s January issue has hit the newstands and there’s a comprehensive review of the Subaru BRZ (along with some mention of the Toyota GT86). We can’t wait until the BRZ is covered in a Top Gear TV episode!

Motor Trend reports that they think they’ve spotted a turbocharged Scion FR-S prototype drifting around the turns at Mazday Raceway Laguna Seca.
No specific reason is given as to why they think that this FR-S was “definitely” turbocharged, but we assume that it’s from a visceral impression of the car (turbo noise, BOV, etc.).
At the very least, this sighting probably previews the Scion drift team conducting its first testing in preparation for the 2012 season.

To date, tuning company GReddy has been the only aftermarket company to have had a crack at upgrading the Scion FR-S, which is not surprising considering the FR-S won’t have its market release until Spring of next year.
We’ve all seen many photos and videos (see here) of the GReddy FR-S, but now we get a look at its full specs and setup. Check out this feature on the GReddy FR-S INSIDE.

We posted yesterday that Subaru will be showing two concept BRZ models at the 2012 Tokyo Auto Salon next month – the BRZ STI Concept and a new PROVA BRZ Black Edition Concept. We now bring you the first teaser image of the BRZ Black Edition, courtesy of PROVA.
We’ve touched up the image a bit to extract some more details. It’s clear that the BRZ Black Edition’s theme is the color black (duh), with contrasting orange stripes and details throughout. The wheels feature a time attack stripe, there are orange racing stripes down the side of the BRZ, and there appears to be a rear wing also with orange striping.
Check out the larger image INSIDE.
