Forum member shawrf1 has posted the best set of general photos from the 2012 TAS that we’ve seen yet! Among these hundreds of photos are pics of the Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ models currently on display.

Not only has the Toyota 86 been the star of the 2012 TAS show, but it’s been headlining many drifting exhibitions at the show as well.

Seen here in these videos are various Toyota 86 models carving up the tarmac, including the TRD 86, Toyota 86 TRD Sports Track Competition Package “N1″ Model, and HKS models. There’s even an 86 by UpGarage which drifts alongside an AE86, the 86’s spiritual predecessor.

With TAS 2012 officially kicked off, the TRD 86/FR-S program has been officially revealed!

With the release comes official details on the TRD parts available so far for the 86/FR-S. They include performance suspension, brakes, and chassis upgrades, as well as interior and exterior cosmetic parts.

At the 2012 Detroit NAIAS currently underway, Scion announced a special program called “First 86.” The program gives 86 people the opportunity to be among the first to own the Scion FR-S. The selected 86 owners will take delivery of their car before it goes on-sale to the general public.

The submission period took place yesterday for a period of 8 hours and 6 minutes. The winners have begun to be notified and many have already announced their winning on our forums! And if you’re a winner, be sure to chime in and get your name announced on our list.

TAS 2012 is about to kick off in just a few hours and the preliminary photos coming from the show floor shows that the Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ have stormed the show and will be *THE* focus of attention as one of the biggest stars of the show.

We’ve already seen the Toyota 86 TRD model and accessories in LEAKS and PHOTOS, but it will finally make its official debut at the 2012 Tokyo Auto Salon, a tuning/aftermarket focused auto show.

The TAS 2012 show doesn’t begin until tomorrow, but HERE is the first peek at the Toyota 86 TRD at the show. We can’t wait to see it’s official reveal in just a few hours!
