We’ve already seen LEAKS and then PHOTOS of the Toyota 86 model and accessories, but its official reveal will finally come soon – at the 2012 Tokyo Auto Salon.

The Tokyo Auto Salon is much more tuner/tuning focused than the Tokyo Motor Show, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see additional ‘tuned’ models from aftermarket tuners (other than just the factory TRD 86).

The 2012 TAS show opens on January 13th, 2012.

Mike Kojima of MotoIQ pens an awesome technical article about the FR-S suspension, chassis, brakes, and differential! All your “how will lowering the car effect handling,” and “how much static camber,” and “is camber adjustable” questions are implicated here.

Site member Moto-P has undertaken a brief but informative review of some of the exterior cosmetic bit on the BRZ and FR-S / GT86.

Of particular note is the confirmation that the headlights and tailights have the same dimensions (great news for those looking to swap lights), despite having different interior looks and configurations.

Check out the full post and discussions INSIDE.

Here’s a nice new video of the Toyota 86 / GT86 with compilation scenes from prototype testing, on the track, and pulling off some drifts and performance driving.

Some nice homage paid to the Toyota Sports 800 and AE86 as well.

Besides the matte white BRZ at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show, these are the first looks at a non-blue Subaru BRZ.

A black and silver BRZ was on hand at a recent test drive event. Check out the photos INSIDE.

Here is the first video of the Toyota 86 TRD Sports Track Competition Package “N1” Model.

The N1 and N0 models look to be complete track spec cars complete with full rollcage, lightweight racing wheels, and huge wing spoiler (on one of the models).

The TRD 86 / GT86 and Modellista 86 / GT86 were first seen in the leaked scans of the 86 training manual last month, but now comes the first real life photos of these 86 models!

Seen in this photo set is the TRD version and Modellista versions of the 86 / GT86 showing off their aero kits. We’ve included the original training brochure scans so you can see what else will be offered by TRD and Modellista for the 86.

Toyota UK has posted this video which revisits the road from the Toyota FT-86 concept, to the FT-86 II Concept, to finally the production GT 86.
