Great news for Subaru BRZ owners-to-be! Many Subaru dealers have begun indicating to our members that the ordering system for the BRZ opens next Thursday – March 1st (updated from Monday, the 27th).

This means that dealers will be able to begin inputting pre-orders into their system for those who have placed deposits.

Here is a first look at a Hot Lava GT-86 / FR-S with the optional factory sports aero kit and high wing spoiler, from a South African press event.

There’s been many renders and chops comparing the FR-S/86/BRZ to other cars based solely on their dimensions, but now that the 86 based cars are making their rounds, we’re seeing some real life comparison photos. These generally give a better comparison as we’re able to see the cars from different angles.

Have a look at the Scion FR-S compared to the Scion tC and Nissan GT-R.

Finally, photos that verify what some of the marketing materials on the Toyota 86 / Scion FR-S / Subaru BRZ bragged about – that the car is geared towards track use by having the space to fit 4 full mounted wheels along with track tools and helmet.

Motor Trend finally put this to the test and verified that the car indeed fits all this. Check out the photos inside.

Car and Driver undertakes a study in comparison and contrast between the 2013 Subaru BRZ and 2013 Scion FR-S.

The study runs through the gamut of powertrain, chassis, and design. Some of it is subjective opinion, some of it not, but nevertheless interesting. No need to freak about the price yet however, as that’s still an estimate/guess. No official US/Canadian pricing has been announced.
