clicking sound?

I have coil over/LCA on my car, everything else stock. When i take off from 1st gear, i usually hear a clicking sound, and occasionally clicking sound when driving. I hear it on the driver side,,and I am not sure about the passenger side.

Is that something i need to be concern about ? The clicking sound is obvious since I took off my rear seats.

I search a little bit,,some said its not an issue, some said is broken cv joint?

Thanks

I've got the same thing in the rear, have had for quite a while. Happens every time I get in or out of the car, or almost immediately after jacking one side up. The noise is coming from the rear in my car. I've got KW V3s and adjustable Whiteline front end links. My theory is that the rear end links are too long and the sway bar is being kept in tension while car is on the ground. I've ordered some adjustable rear end links (whitelines), should be in early next week. I'm only about 1 1/4" lower. There's not rubbing anywhere I can find, but I'm about 99% sure the clicking we're both hearing is endlink bind. Try disconnecting front end links and seeing if the noise goes away if you want to be 100% sure.

Is it a single click, or is it a heavier "pop pop pop..." when under torque?

The former is most likely a loosening axle nut. The latter is the sound of a failing CV joint.

Does it change with wheel speed or does it change with suspension travel?

Mostly when I take off from first gear low speed.
It is a single click.

That's likely the axle nut needing torqued.

Update #1 so I went to the toyota dealership and the lady adviser was mean as fk.
Before I say anything to my problem, she just say directly to me that your car is modified, lowered and exhaust warranty/ extended warranty will be void. I said what does that do with my clutch???and my axle noise??? So I requested that i need to talk to a mechanic.

Long story short, the mechanic took a ride with me and hear the click sound as well. He has encountered a situation like this before, he also suspect the axle nut as well. Also, it clicks only the left rear. So, the car is under inspection and will be done in a few hours.

Will the warranty cover my diagnostic inspection charge? My car is 34000 miles, and they charge me $160 to inspect. Man, I started to lose faith to this dealership.

Remember, there is a connection between deep lowering and premature CV joint failure.

But not the axle nut thing.

I have a bit of sympathy for dealers' mod-versus-stock warranty struggle. The person working the front counter can't be expected to have a basic understanding of the car, much less memorize which mods affect which subsystems. It's a damn tough gig.

Well, I did lowered it 1.3 inches...
Yea, but she keep arguing with me about, "oh warranty going to be void blah blah blah", and i requested talk to mechanic and go a ride with him.

new update: So, as expected, AXLE NUT was loosing, but they will have to replace my whole rear axle because they cant re-torque it anymore.

For my CLUTCH squeaky noise, luckily nothing was damage or failure, just need to be grease.

P.S *IT IS 100% FULLY COVERED BY THE WARRANTY.* I PAY $0 OUT OF POCKET.

I hope this post is helpful for those who have this problem =]
