My old car had this problem, it has to do with the "something in the way" safety feature and it is a problem that will come back. Unfortunately it isn't something that is usually warranted and the problem generally lies in the window motor. I would ask the service manager at the dealership and see if it is something they could fix or replace on their dime.

This. Definitely sounds like it was detecting something it shouldn't be closing on (In it's mind, a hand or finger trapped by the window), and re-opening. Either the window or the motor might have been catching on something that tripped the sensor.
