Seriously, one thing to consider is that the advantage to the torque "slope" of a centrifugal compressor is that there is less low rpm stress on the engine so it has a better chance of surviving making big power without internal mods.
Personally I'd like to see a nice smooth slope up to about 4000 to 4500 then a shelf of serious power to redline to play with when I want to. One advantage of a turbo system is that you can tune to shape your curve by varying boost throughout the rpm range.
