Are you by chance creating a product for the BRZ with an e-85 friendly filter? Like your other Subaru offerings, or are u super secret doing R&D on it right now and your hush hushed?

I assume an aftermarket pump that is e85 safe should help with the issue. As long as its not the only thing disintegrating.

The problem is not the pump nor it being E85 ready or not. Its an OEM filter that is embedded inside the fuel canister assembly.

Car companies making flex fuel cars basically use an entirely different set of materials for the fuel system. They use different gaskets, different soft hoses, and NO glue.

The fuel filter would just be the first thing to fail(the glue dissolves first), eventually the gaskets would fail, then tubing, then eventually the injectors may be damaged.

2nd DI that's went out on me this month. Been running straight e85 since 10k miles and im at 22k ( January til' beginning of May )
I'll check my filter soon. If that's gone then I'm guessing my issues with My DI's are e85 related and not related to this.

Honestly all my conditions are pointing towards the Telfon band leaking.

The Note* at the bottom fits my driving style most of the time.

This is the SPECIFIC reason I didn't want to run E85 on this car for some years, until tons cold hard data were available. I knew all about other Subaru's handling it pretty well, but no one had any data on it working with out DI system.
