The Cosworth 600 long block in that car alone was 16 grand shipped from their factory..... The car on KBB is 12k..... If it was totaled that wouldn't even cover the engine, let alone the other 60k+ in mods the car has on it.

Also factory had 200 at the crank w/12 pounds of boost... this is 400WHP @20 pounds of boost. Big difference.

Back to full blown! <--- I love high HP but DD'ing that would mean you must have one huge pocket book. Just saying.

Since when did this turn into a dyno queen? Screw that, do something with that 604whp first besides a video showing the tire on a dyno.

60k into a wagon, that made 400hp and you couldn't DD it. Well that car better of rubbed your balls while you drove and served you caviar. No reason why 400hp shouldn't be DD'able.

Anyways, looking forward to the weather warming up, I wanna see what this car runs.

Although I am interested in seeing the limits of this engine.

We will never know, until someone blows one up with the proper tuning.

I'm counting on these guys to blow the engine the correct way, revealing the actual stock components limitation. Not death to a shitty fuel pump, small injectors, shitty VE table, too much timing, Ignorance, Whatever.

Yea but if it's going to blow something, have it blow doing something You or I would be normally doing.

Hooning around on the street (briefly and with saftey)

Or what I would prefer....

At the road course or drag strip...

If you going to stress and pop it, don't do it on the dyno where you left cleaning up oil off the drums/rollers.

I don't think he means babying it, I think instead he's talking about that we've had 2 or 3 engines blown in the last month, but:

One was from fuel cut with nitrous, and another was a messed up waste gate or fuel pump, no a/f or boost gauges and bagging on it as soon as installed even though it wasn't running right.

A properly installed kit, with a good tune, then lets see what bagging on the car and launch it does for wear and tear.

Yea that's what I'm waiting on. 10sec passes down the 1/4 mile will suffice.

This is a perfect example of that game you play in school where you pass a story word by mouth between people and the message the last person says is very different than the initial one (no knocking on you, its just bound to happen). The motor wasn't "just" installed, it was driven for 100+ miles before he stepped on it

I consider 100 miles to be just installed :p That's not even a tank of gas yet through it. But again, even if it was 10 miles or 1000 miles, there should have at least been a few test runs while watching the boost and a/f levels.

Anyways, thats another topic for another thread
