AM insurance isn't cheap. Nor are speeding tickets or Gas at that stage.

It all depends on the car and the driver. I take it you had a bad experience or never DD'd a 600hp car.

I daily drove a 600hp Evo IX for two years. That car makes the BRZ feel like a Rolls Royce floating on a cushion of soft kittens. A 600/700/800 hp car is very easy to DD if you have it setup right. A track rat on the other hand...

I have a 2002 WRX wagon with a full STi swap... FULL cosworth logblock w/ gt35x @400whp 400WTQ on 21 pounds of boost with a stage 4 clutch... It's a pain in the rear to DD that thing. It's more of the weekend car.. Also drove the wagon before all the swaps @320WHP 330WTQ on a hybrid built w stage 3 clutch... All i'm saying is it becomes quite uneconomical after a while esp in Oregon. I ended up buying a 2011 sti to DD then sold that for my FRS. Prob buy a eco car to DD when the FRS goes crazy like the wagon.... the wagon is getting meth soon though and going for 520+WHP

Evo's are sorta different in the DD with high HP department though

*edit* on another note anything over 400WHP just seems crazy and excessive for DD. Idk maybe we could get full blowns views on it.

Its a pain to DD a 400hp wrx? Weird. My buddy had a 400hp 2008 wrx and it was a breeze, drove like stock.

My old wrx was never bad to drive, but it wasn't modded too much (bolt ons and a utec). It was, however, impossible to keep first/second gear from disintegrating at the strip, went through two trannies in one summer with hardly any power lol.

you would call your insurance company and inform them that you just added 400 hp to your 200 hp car?

I wanted to so bad... Never had the money. I was young and stupid and just kept fixing it until finally the last time I just fixed it and traded it in.
