So I start comparing Toyotas prices in Europe after exchange rate to US prices, and the trend seems to be that MSRP for Toyota of America is about 70% of the MSRP for Toyota of Europe. I realize this, and there is a gleam of hope, but, then I do the math. $30,600. I can only hope that the articles are wrong on the price for the brits, or Toyota will be deeply discounting the car in the states.
It will flop at $30,600 here in the U.S. unless the same guys who bought the S2K buy one of these.

I've seen an australian article kicking around with a $35,000 AUD price tag estimated... that is much more realistic - making it £22,000 gbp - still expensive though.

I doubt that "LOADED". A Mx5 loaded is 28k-30k so you might be in for a shocker!

I've spent the last year wishing the UK price would be the £20k it been reported as by so many sources.

£28k!!! I'm out. Money far better spent on a 6mth old 300bhp BMW 135i.

90% of the enjoyment a sports car can bring, the Miata brings it. I'm betting the Toybaru won't be as fun. I'm hopping it's close tho, because my rx8, while faster and way more flexible (in regards to cargo or passengers), just isn't near as fun as the Miata.
