Just encode in 320kb on mp3 and SAVE yourself a lot of space!

Don't think this should get its own thread..

Has anyone confirmed current output on that USB port?

For me it just slows down the drain on a nexus 4. If I use an aftermarket 1A cigarette charger then it will actually charge my.phone.

Therefore I am convinced the stock USB output is 500mA.

Its typical on most smart phones. You can ground one of the data wires on your USB cord to trick your phone into thinking it's an actual charger (but then you play music from the phone on the radio). Or just get that $5 Motorola charger on Amazon.

The little door over the dash plug doesn't close completely over it but you can hardly tell it's there. It looks like the door just isn't snapped shut. And 32G holds plenty of road music.
I did exactly the same thing. I organized my music into a folder for each artist. When you select the folder, it plays all of the music by that artist. The default is alphabetical order, but you can also select random.

I turned on the album art display, but it simply does not work - even though I used a tag editor to attach the album art to each file.

For those folks using an iPod, does it show your album art?

According to. The manual, they play back in the order they were copied to the flash drive.

There is no m3u playlist compatibility.

There is no compatibility with the MP3i
(MP3 interactive) or mp3 PRO formats.

You need a powered hub for more than 1 USB device to work properly and even then I would rather just use one big USB device as I do not see the radio having the logic to pick between usb devices - so probably not a good idea to use the hub.
Also, at least with the stock (non-Bespoke) radio, there is no support for a USB hub. The manual specifically states that.

This happens to me repeatedly, even just leaving on USB.

I filtered out all non .mp3 files (.m3u's, jpgs, etc) and it seems to have helped a lot.

Good to know its not just me. Funny thing is when I first got the car I swear I could just flip back and forth between the usb and am/fm and the USB song would just pick up where it left off.

I'll have to check the format of the songs on the usb stick

If I have my folder structure like this on my thumb drive:

Root\Artist\Album\Track

Why does it list the albums (in alphabetical order, according to artist name) when you touch folders, instead of listing the artist first?

Example, you touch folders, it lists:

1.) A Texas Cafe {not displayed, but artist is Aaron Watson}
2.) Barbed Wire Halo {not displayed, but artist is Aaron Watson}
3.) San Angelo {not displayed, but artist is Aaron Watson}
4.) Shut Up and Dance {not displayed, but artist is Aaron Watson}
5.) The Honky Tonk Kid {not displayed, but artist is Aaron Watson}
6.) Alan Jackson Greatest Hits {not displayed, but artist is Alan Jackson}
7.) Freight Train {not displayed, but artist is Alan Jackson}
8.) Good Time {not displayed, but artist is Alan Jackson}
9.) Like Red on a Rose {not displayed, but artist is Alan Jackson}
10.) What I do {not displayed, but artist is Alan Jackson}

Because that's annoying as hell, since I can't tell who the Artist is until I go into that album and listen to a track... To me, it should be like:

1.) Aaron Watson
a.) Album 1 -> Tracks
b.) Album 2 -> Tracks
c.) Album 3 -> Tracks
2.) Alan Jackson
a.) Album 1 -> Tracks
b.) Album 2 -> Tracks
c.) Album 3 -> Tracks
3.) Etc.

Any recommendations? Do I just need to nest it like this instead?

Root\Artist\Album\Track
Root\Music\Artist\Album\Track

In my experience it only shows you folders that contain playable files in the list screen.

My experience is the same where I can only see the Albums when browsing through the folders.

I got it to work. Downloaded a music management application called MediaMonkey, and had it auto-arrange my music to:

D:/Music/<Artist>/<Artist> - <Album>/<Title>

Then copied my whole music folder into the root of my thumb drive. All is well now. I'll snag a pic tomorrow.
