I could probably find this information, but someone help me out: does the BRZ headunit play .FLAC files? Ideally, I'd stick a bunch of them on a USB stick and just set/forget.

No driver needed. Does your thumbdrive have a light on it? Do you see the light flash when plugged into the car?

Nevermind; It sorted itself out. I had to plug it in a few times to get it to work. Thanks.

Thread back from the dead for the following:
i got a new flash drive to use with the stock stereo and 90% of it works great. A few songs, for some reason, will only play back in slow motion while the rest of the tracks play back at full speed. The distribution of which ones are messed up seems pretty random. Anyone have any ideas on this one? |

I have a question about playing from USB drive too. When I select a folder to play, I can't figure out how it sorts. It doesn't seem to do it alphabetically on file name or track name. Doesn't seem to do it based on any of the id3 tags or on file size. Is anyone else having this problem?

I put in a UBS hub. I used my 64gig and then a 32gig USB drive in the non-powered hub and it would only read 1 usb stick.

Has anyone noticed this...playing USB in randon, then go to am or fm radio, then back to USB and it won't play unless you select a new folder?? Mine does this and not sure in normal or not.

The USB port only sends out enough power for one device comfortably. I doubt it can be consistent on what will be seen if too much is drawn from the single usb connector. You need a powered hub for more than 1 USB device to work properly and even then I would rather just use one big USB device as I do not see the radio having the logic to pick between usb devices - so probably not a good idea to use the hub. |
