From: http://www.cnet.com/8301-33369_1-573...#ixzz1j3m71vo3 I guess this explains why the BRZ is at CES. |

I just want to listen to music without commercials. If it doesn't do that I'm not interested.

Ditto. And they think the driver *has* time to look at these virtual buttons while changing the radio.....

/snark/
I love this and the whole streaming pandora in the car thing. Because if there's anything I enjoy it's busting my data cap every month from streaming music while driving and then having to pay at&t an ass ton of money because I couldn't be bothered to make a playlist or tune the FM. /snark/ |

Navigation, radio, a place to plug in my iPod/phone/music and I'll be happy. Don't want all this superfluous shit.

It's technology...its progress. We have to deal with it. Hopefully it works good. But since there is not steering wheel mounted controls..I don't know. At least on the FR-S the Pioneer Bespoke is voice activated. I believe it is the same on the BRZ.

Voice controls sound ok, but they've been finicky on everything I've ever used them on. I'm a bit dissapointed by the lack of steering wheel controls, especially if the FR-S stereo is basically touchscreen only with no buttons. Even if it could be volume/FF/REW buttons and screen for everything else that would be awesome. I've already gotten hooked on the steering wheel controls in my wife's Mazda3, not that them being absent is a dealbreaker though.

Voice activated, great. It doesn't even work on my iphone and its an inch from my face, I can just imagine with driving noise ... "Call Marco Barella" ... Calling Margo's Bordello "No! ..." |

So BRZ has Aha. Does this mean FR-S has Pandora?
Also, does the data stream piggyback from the your cellphone or does the car itself have a radio antenna? If so, who pays the monthly data bills? |
