I had a similar problem, mine would go in all but an inch then stop. I'd back it out and check the threads and I couldn't seem to get it past that point. I then did the driver's side and had no problems at all. Messing with the jack etc I couldn't seem to get it to go in any further and out of frustration I just put a giant washer/spacer I had on it to get it to torque down properly (albeit not fully threaded) as a temporary fix because I determined it wasnt the greatest idea to attempt on a day when it was <40deg and windy. I was freezing and just gave up lol. Over my upcoming weekend the weather is nicer looking (60-75deg) so I will get under her and do the fronts and work on aligning the holes better and keeping my fingers crossed. I'll remember to wear some mechanics gloves too because hand turning the bolts in and out repeatedly will make your fingers sore lol.

Also I'm going to try it with the car on jackstands with all 4 bolts loosened (like it says in the instructions in order to do the fronts), that should allow me to adjust the alignment of the holes a little easier. I was working on it on the ground with a jack to support and lower the subframe assembly.

Sorry to hear your situation. It was really easy to do in my case. Let me know how yours turns out. I thought about the spacer/washer thing also. It sucked driving mine around for that week with it loose.

Just for the heck of it. Sharing information. I answered my first question finally. The bolts came in that I ordered.

Bolt size is 14mm X 127.5mm. The thread pitch is 1.5mm.

Thanks, and by looking at the bolt I guessed it was 14mmx1.25 or 14mmx1.5, good to know for sure.

After installing the front bushings and aligning the holes perfectly, I was unable to get it to go in further. It will go all but maybe 3/4" from being all of the way in. I've also ordered a new bolt and I plan to buy a tap to clean it up, we'll see.

I will admit that when I first attempted to screw this bolt in that it got "tough" and I put a little force into it, say 70+lb-ft. It screwed up the first thread on my bolt and I later ground it off and haven't had a problem with it going in until past this point. Moral of the story... don't try to force it. If it's not going in smoothly, then check the alignment and try again. NO FORCE should be needed, aside from maybe a ratchet to help turn it (your hands will tire). I felt that after threading 3/4"-1" find that a lil force wouldn't hurt. I also admit that my "little force" may be more than some people's "major force". All of the other 3 bolts were essentially threaded in by hand without any problems, as in thumb and finger...

Having been forever since I posted anything about this...

I ordered a M14x1.5 x 127mm tap off ebay (longest tap I could find), after a few weeks for it to get here from China, it was a simple 10min "fix". Took out the old bolt, cleaned up the threads with the tap, and put my new bolt in. Torqued to spec and it's a done deal....

Anyone needing a tap for this, feel free to msg me, make it a community tap haha.
