The rims fit fine without spacers its the Brembo big brake kit that could cause the problems. Why do you feel you need front and rear Brembo kits exactly?

More even braking; I know the majority of the braking is in the front. I would like the option of adding bigger brakes in the rear

Brakes are not my area of expertise but that's a ton of money to spend for more even braking, i think you should do some more research in the brake threads and see if that's really what you need. Even if you put a big brake kit on the rear you would have to be able to change the brake bias also, just doesn't sound like a good idea to me honestly.

I'll look more into the rear, but the same info applies to the front as well.

Smile Let's pick out some tires

Alright here's the setup. I'll be running 18x9.5 +38 all around. I want to run a square tire setup as well.

Some people have done 225/40 which is too much stretch for me. I have done that on a car before and it looks awful unless the car is slammed.

I am tossing around 3 tire sizes right now:

235/40/18
245/40/18
245/35/18

I will not go wider in section width as it's simply overkill for this NA car.

The other factor that may be the difference between running a 235/40 and a 245/35 is the tire style. I may run something with a larger shoulder block that will fill out the rim more.

What say you?

Lots more tires to choose from in 235/40 than 245/35, 235/40 is usually a lot cheaper too. 245/40's look like too much tire to me on the ones i've seen.

235/40/18
245/40/18
245/35/18
From those chosen sizes, the 245/35/18 should work out nicely on that wheel spec. Only thing is Tire choices will be limited in this size.
Overall diameter is on par with OEM sizing as well.

I'm sure they'll fit the car, but the Brembo calipers most likely stick out further than the OEM ones do, which opens up the chance of caliper to wheel contact. With my AP racing calipers I have to run 10mm spacers to use the stock wheel, and even then it's pretty tight. I only use the OEM wheel as a spare, my 17x8 RPF1s fit fine but 17x9 RPF1s don't because of the spoke design.

Your biggest issue now is determining whether or not the wheels will fit over the brakes, as it's easy to find wheels that just fit on the stock car. If the spokes don't go out at a sufficient angle from the hub part of the wheel and stay out before coming back to the rim portion of the wheel, they may not fit over the brembos even though they fit on the car with stock brakes perfectly.

I made a spread sheet a while ago for a "quick -n- dirty" comparison of overall diameters for different size/combos. You should make one (or I'll post a pic).

Tire choices aren't bad. Will probably run a Hankook Ventus V12 Evo or Bridgestone RE 760.

Heck I can even get a Kumho XS in that sizing but I'd burn through them in no time at all.

Thanks kindly... 245/35 was my initial thought.

This is very true.

For example on a S2000, the Prodrive GC-07C 17X8.5 +54 are known to have great clearance and can clear most BBKs. While a Enkei RPF1 17x9 +35 wouldn't clear many BBKs. Just by looking at the sizes and offset you would assume the RPF1 would be the better bet.

Same can be said about are car with RPF1 17x8 +45 vs 17x9 +35. The 17x8 +45 can clear more breaks as well.

Rota grids

Ok y'all I've tried to figure this out but can't. Looking to order rota grids for my car. Preferably 18x9.5. My car is lowered on eibach sportlines. What offset do I need and what tires will fit well. I want to be as flush as possible.
