No, I'm not saying that you shouldn't run a front plate, I'm saying that you should swap the yellow plate for a custom white plate instead. I have one on my car and it looks a lot better than the ugly yellow plates!

I just want to come in and apologize for wondering why it needs to be done and saying it would be stupid. I am looking at getting rims in the 8-9 inch range and stretching my tires would be a sweet way to save money for a year or two.

wheel and brake fitment

I tried searching and didn't find an answer, and I want to make sure everything will work with everything else before I get it.

Will the Brembo 345mm BBK (front and rear) work with O.Z. Alleggerita HLT 17x7.5 (offset +48mm)

I don't think so without a spacer, will they fit with stock wheels because those OZ's are almost stock sizing just a half inch wider??

If you get quality ones with extended studs they should be fine, check out project kics and H&R.

Doesn't Brembo have a template for checking fitment with your wheels?

Spacers can be used to help with fitment but can put more load on wheel bearings. Spoke design is more important than offset and width by itself (spoke shape).

Ya I thought it is always better to avoid spacers.
Would I solve the problem/clearance by going to 18x7.5 or is it still that 7.5 that cases the problem?

The +48 offset is probably the main problem but like Dave said spoke design is also important and you really need to know if they will work with stock wheels, that would at least give you a reference to start with.

The rims (per tirerack's website) will fit with out spacers. If the offset is the same as stock the extra 1/2" in the width wouldn't affect the brake caliper, it would just be 1/2" deeper into the wheel well, right? I just dont see were the spoke pattern effects it other then looks
