That would work ... as long as they never actually ride in the car, if they drive it then it's all over, the cat's out of the bag.

I really don't give a shit what people think of me or of the car I choose to drive. If they ask me about the car, I'll answer honestly. It looks great, it handles phenomenally, it gets excellent gas mileage, it's slow as shit.
I bought the car because I liked it, not to impress anyone and It's not my job to promote the car so Toyota/Scion/Subaru can sell more cars.

My thoughts exactly. We want every manufacturer to make these sort of cars, we want to have a choice in a modest powered lightweight RWD coupe. I want this to be so popular with the buyers that 5 years from now I'm researching 3 or 4 different replacement cars with the same sort of feel and excitement.

If the toyobaru twins outlast the hype with the buying public, that can only be good news for auto enthusiasts!

I have only gotten love in the BRZ. Albeit I'm known for giving test drives when the mood strikes me. When driving people still say it could use more power, but once they give it a turn they understand. We just need to be good advocates for these cars, not pretend they're something with more than 200hp, and be the enthusiast this car is geared towards: not judging of what other people drive, but rather happy we found a new car we could afford that meets our needs and happy for other people whose needs are met by other cars that didn't meet ours.

My wife, who has ridden shotgun with me for ~20 years at this point - always in a RWD car - was worried about rwd. We used to have to leave her Civic home when it was snowing because even with snow tired that thing was terrible in the snow. I would drop her off to work in my RWD 240.

This is the first RWD car I've owned in 10 years without a roll bar in it. Maybe if I put one in, she'll feel more comfortable.

Dude, I too was scared of driving a RWD car... but after driving my BRZ, I can say theres nothing to be scared about.

Its actually a lot more fun than a FWD car.

I do all the time. There's no way that I can win a conversation with the rednecks around here. They love their SUV, V8s, F350, etc.

No one is going to be impressed with a 2.0 liter 4. I just fess up, no need to lose hair over people that are not "in the know". If you can't beat them, join them.

Well considering there is a very limited number of 2013, my car should be hard enoug to find. Dont get me wrong, i love my frs, but i kinda do enjoy the exclusivness of it... Alot. Im not telling you to go out and tell everyone its a bad car or try to swaythem, im asking has it crossed your minds?

As I predicted a lot of people would jump on the bandwagon for this car (a long with most cars) and then realize it wasn't practical. As I stated before that they would complain about how low the car was and getting in and out. I have seen 4 already pop up for sale with less than 2K miles because people with previous injuries (back) are starting to hurt. I will be looking at picking up a used version of these for the track. In the next 2 years. Unless something else comes up.

I have a cracked L5 in two places and floating fragments inbetween spinal disks as a result of a tire wall collision, and the seats in the FRS are the first that i have been able to drive for any sort of length without excrutiating pain. Not to say I dont still partake in 24hour enduro's but the comfort level in the 86 is leaps and bounds better than any other stockers.
