I think the 1987 Corolla GT-S's in the states used that digital tach.
I always thought it was kinda funny how the S2K and AE86 Corolla Digital tach were so similar .

That said, I seem to be the only one who's noticed the center console sides of the ae86 and ft86 are identical. |

Urgh... I was just at Summit point and saw 3 AE86s. Friend in Gaithersburg is restoring one right now. It can't be that hard to get, it'll be harder finding someone who has it in good condition willing to part with it.

Yeah it's heavier and the gearing is a little wonky, but I'd daily drive it so it wouldn't bother me as much. It has taller highway gearing and a nice power delivery over the sluggish N/A. It's irrelevant, because I'm getting a BRZ instead of another old-ass Toyota!

This Subaru has plenty of Subaru heritage, from its Subaru chassis to its weird Subaru bolt pattern, the heritage is there. -Justin

i hardly think having a chassis or stupid bolt patterns would be a requisite for having heritage. im not saying subaru doesnt know what they are doing
