I guess I'm not discounting a wing; an instructor I respect suggested a wickerbill. Did you ever entertain that before adding your wing? (I'd love to be able to get to 120 on the back of Mid-Oh!) |

Spoilers like the 949Racing car result in a high drag effect as a results of a massive wake zone immediately behind the element itself. Kyle, I thought this one was way on the drastic side! |

As far as me, no. I didn't entertain it because in NASA TT the point deduction for a rear wing element is the same regardless of what occurs and I know a wing is better overall for downforce levels I want to achieve. And here's the comparison. Wingless vs Wing Wingless Wing

Reasons to do a spoiler/ducktail over a wing? Cost, simplicity, convenience, rules, etc.
Not performance. A proper wing will be far more effective. - Andrew |

Okay, well, I feel a lot better about a WING.
Now for any input on various brands/models. . . . . . widths, riser heights, etc. |

Verus and Nine Lives Racing are good companies that provide CFD data for their designs.

More important than having a wing is having a balanced aero. A big ass wing without a front splitter (or with one that doesnt do shit, like 90% of "premade" splitters out there) is going to make the car understeer a lot, for no reason. Racecomp and monkey said it best, just make sure your splitter is up to the task, just sticking a flat piece of *insert your prefered material here* below your bumper is not doing much of anything.

If you're not point/class limited, just get a big wang. https://9livesracing.com/collections...gt86-2012-2019
With the proposed SCCA TTT4 changes, people will be forced to run a TINY joke of a wing or a spoiler like the 949 racing is running. I will be for sure going with the spoiler in that scenario.

Why do you want to chassis mount?
