Yep. I would be in a hurry to sell them as well. Can't say that I ever noticed just how bad they were before but damn....

I know this is veering us further off topic, but I have to 3rd this sentiment.

I saw the classified post for these wheels at a firm $1,200 and didn't want to blow it up there, but I can't see anyone wanting to do anything with these other than sell them. Just because they come on a TRD edition, doesn't make them desirable. The worst looking stock wheel offered yet on these cars and without any performance improvement. Even giving these away may be hard.

I'd suggest 'parting out' the tires

Still on topic since the title is "choices". There are a bazillion "what wheels are best" threads anyway.

They fit in with the latest stock wheel pattern which I really do not like. The wife's 17 Impreza has these monstrosities:

I have also been trying to find / decide on stock wheel replacements as I entirely agree with what you are saying there about the latest stock wheels. This whole machined front / black gloss back patterned thing is horrible and bugs me way more than it should. It's like they came up with a new manufacturing process that's cheaper and they are trying to pass it off as the hot new look, but it just looks cheap.

Agreed with this. $1,200 is a fair price (though not the screaming deal that you seem to think it is), but those aren't going to be highly desirable wheels.

For OEM options the 17" TRD forged wheels are far more desirable IMO. I did get a screaming deal on a set, picking up 5 of them with OEM tires and TPMS for $650. Normally a used set with tires/TPMS would sell around $900-1,000ish.

You can likely get $1,200 for them, but finding the right buyer (especially restricted to local) is quite likely going to take awhile.

Hey I was just throwing it out there. If you price the tires and sensors new you end up getting the wheels for free. I am in no hurry to sell them. If they don't sell that is fine too. I will just hold onto them until I sell the car and put them back on. Not gonna take less than $1,200.00 as that is actually a steal it price.

Thanks for all the input (and interesting discussion).

As good as they look, I decided against getting super aggressive looking wide wheels. I'm leaning towards the bbs rf. i think 7.5-8" width and 225 tire sounds like the optimum size.
I'll prob stick with an clean understated/oem+ kind of look for now.

Plus I just bought some trd springs (40% off today!) so coilovers are out for now.

But appreciate the suggestions.

Just an update: ended up with the bbs rf wrapped in Michelin ps4s 225/45/17.
Pretty happy with how they look.
Still on stock suspension but that's next on the list.

I think these are a clear winner for best looking aftermarket rim on stock suspension. The only ones I've ever seen that don't look weird without lowering. Maybe just get some sway bars to stiffen things up and leave it at stock ride height?

When you lower it, you will get some negative camber and they will sink in more and might not look as good. I think these have the same offset as stock and my stock wheels definitely looked too sunk in after I put on the trd springs. Just put the 17" trd wheels on with -5 offset +0.5" width and they look more appropriate.
