Lol at that diy. I live in lake havasu, there are no emissions here I don't want headers as I don't want to lose my warranty, or I'd be all over over those kooks! I put in some effort researching this and its either $640 for a diy kit from borla or $60-$100 at an exhaust shop. That's why I'm pushing for a shop in vegas to do it. Thanks again for all the ideas btw!

But your willing to perform un-reversible surgery on the stock system.

I won't even go into the header voiding warranty thing, just buy a catless front pipe.

Taking out the secondary cats will only void my o2 sensor and parts of my exhaust warranty, see mossberg act, I also already confirmed with my local dealer that cutting them out wont void my entire warranty. Everyone seems to get that confused, heck my bolt on frs with tune just had the transmission replaced under factory warranty. Sorry if this seems aggro, but did you read all of the posts? The car I'm talking about doesn't even have a frontpipe, it is not a frs.

Totally forgot we weren't talking about the twins.
If your gonna throw Moss out there, headers don't affect warranty either.

I hope you recorded that conversation though.

What trim do you even have?

Lol, so true, I almost recorded it on my phone hah! Hopefully they do what they say and are as cool as the toyota dealership. I have a 2017 2ss that just isn't quite loud enough, the axleback didn't quite do the trick. Headers need a tune to run efficiently and reliably. I heard you can add a spacer to the 02 sensor taking it out of the higher airflow, but that's just a bandaid imo, and shouldn't be done permanently.

What relation there is with secondary cat & o2 spacers which are pre & post primary cat? Same about spacers for sensors? If you don't touch primary cat in header, you shouldn't need any gimmickry with sensors. Also, if we start speaking about warranty, o2 sensor spacers may affect fueling strategy by ecu firmware. So theoretically that may mean denied warranty on engine problems. Cat efficiency is not the only thing that is checked by o2 sensors in modern cars.

Yes, removing or tampering with the primary cats will definitely void that part of the warranty. The car has two sets of cats, first pair are primary with sensors, second pair is further down the line, and are un monitored. Removing the secondary cats shouldnt effect my warranty as they are there just to clean up the rest of the fumes. Although, if the welder isnt the best and has a leak, it will throw a code from the front cat, maybe by reading the back pressure? Anyways, you are right with the spacer and headers, I don't want to go that route yet, trying to get keep my warranty, or well the cost of it lol.You used to be able to get another ecm and tune it, and swap em out for the stock one when time is needed, but cant do that anymore as everything is time stamped and dated. Sorry if I started to ramble, it's still early heh
