Shop to cut out cats

Hey guys, I'm headed up to vegas in a couple weeks, and I'm trying to get my secondary cats cut out of my other car, (non frs). Would anyone have any tips on any local shops to get this done at? Sorry it isn't frs related, the other car forum wasnt any help in this department, and I always seem to find an answer here for anything lol.

The car you want to do this to is registered for off road use only, right?

I would try a regular muffler shop.

All the local shops in my area will do whatever you want. We do not have emission testing though. (Only in Portland)

You can try leading edge performance if they're still open.

Wouldn't it cost as much to just buy a new front pipe?

And now you'd have the stock FP and a catless FP.

You can swap it out easily if you ever needed to(;

I live in Arizona, no emissions and for some reason no one will do it. I've physically been to 5 different shops as calling they think it's a trap, lol. It's not registered as offroad lol, it's a camaro, different car alltezza. I wrote leading edge performance down and will hit them it, thanks summer and Leo for the input

Because it's federally illegal to run a car without one.
Emissions or not.

The car will retain its primary/main cats, as they have the 02 sensor, but removing any cats is probably included in that law, that makes sense. Wtb a renegade muffler shop, hah!

Which camaro? Can you not just do the same as well?

Just look for a Catless downpipe and buy one and install it, for a car like a Camaro I'm sure there's also a pretty good aftermarket support. I'm sure Borla or idk Hooker makes some I know someone that has one he talked about ZZP or something.

Borla has the market right now and its $640 for the tubing, it's crazy. It's for a 17 ss, zzp has pipes for the turbo 4. I read it helps alot, but not for me heh.

Summerwolf 06-05-2018 10:53 PM

If its an SS just do kooks headers and x pipe.

finch1750 06-05-2018 11:02 PM

Catless front pipes are cheap. Just buy one
