Get snows if you absolutely have to get somewhere. I went with all seasons and so far they have been fine. But I do have a WRX as well with snows for bad weather. I have survived many a winter on A/S tires without issues in NY. But once you go snows you really feel the difference. Just remember snows stop better but you can still slide and they don't prevent you from being hit by the other idiots on the road.
