Excellent it is likely the easier fix of the two. Let us know if that fixes it so we can pass it on to the next guy.

Before you blow money on axles I'd spend five minutes disconnecting the rear sway bar (just remove one endlink) and going for a test drive.

I was going crazy searching for a clunk as well, thought it was my custom spring perches but it turns out my LCA's (not SPC) didn't play well with my stock rear bar and endlinks especially after being lowered, the way everything was toleranced created a clunk.

Might not be the answer but it's a cheap test.
