Suspension clunking (i think)

Been having a weird issue with the car. I think its suspention related

From a stand still if i rev to about 3.5-4k and let the clutch slip i can hear knocking in the rear (barely any if any wheel spin). It certainly does not feel like tire hop but maybe it is? The sound goes away once the car is going over 25km/h. I can re perform the sound everytime from a stop

Not sure if anyones had any similar issues. Thinking it could be axles maybe

Im on cheap coilovers (bc racing), 265 tires with supercharger if that helps

If you were making a turn, I would suspect a rear axle.

But, going straight ahead, I would suspect a drive shaft universal or a bad acting differential.

You may wish to check that your coil overs are bolted down tight.

I think OP is saying he's practically launching it. "Barely any wheelspin." It also sounds like he's describing a cyclic/repeating sound until he gets up to a certain speed.

I think OP has a failed CV joint.

I had similar issues and I could feel the clunk too. After investigating; the damn seats were lose from the latch. LOL I know, the obvious right

You say "on cheap coilovers" but not if you have done the other supporting mods. LCAs or anything else?

Does it happen on hard braking too? And do you have aftermarket LCAs? Could be them.

yeah this. if i set off normally, i cant hear it. il try and film it and see if i can get it on tape. only happens on low speeds

only other mod back there is SPC control arms at about 2.3 degrees camber

i cant see it being the coils since its only at low speeds. maybe contributing to the cause?

I forgot to ask how much drop. Anything over about an 1 1/2 has been known to cause axle issues.

It could also be as simple as needing to tighten the retaining nuts though. I would start with that since you certainly fit the description.

ok this is certainly the issue. exact description in the second link. lowered + sticky tires + 300whp will do it.

Thank you!
