@Shiv@Openflash i sold my oft to someone and they are trying to use it. I Reflashed my car( which I got rid of so i know the stock file is in there since it went from turbo to stock away without issues.) so the stock file is on there. I pressed the erase button and everything went grayed out. It's still not letting the other person use the oft. Is there anything else that can be done so that he can use it?

did you have internet connection when you erased oft ? you need to use erase function in openflash manager software, not just erase tune slots.

look at read button it should be active if its been erased correctly.

also look at tune slots should show all blank even original file.

get the guy to connect it to openflash manager with internet connection and try erase again

Just Received My OFT yesterday Brand new from FT86 Speed factory. During installation after it reads my ECU it prompts me to turn off ignition and unplug the OFT?? The Icons for READ and WRITE go Dark(disabled)? I used manager to erase the file and tried again with the same outcome? Anyone know what the hell is wrong?? Thanks

It go's wrong after it saves my ECU info. I plugged in unit, turned ignition on(second stage with all dash lights on) Push read, go's through both read and downloading. Then instead of saying read complete turn off ignition it says turn off ignition and disconnect OFT. At this point I can no longer read or write.

Did you turn off the ignition, unplug the oft, then plug it in again to see if the write options are available? The vid was probably made with an early version of the software, and some of the GUIs and prompts may have changed. I think when I first set mine up it was a bit different.

Also, you said you deleted the file with the manager, but as I understand it, you should not be able to delete the original that it downloaded from the ECU. That gets stored permanently until you unmarry the oft from the car.

I tried doing what it said with no luck. Once I erased it on manager it gave me back the Read icon and was able to perform the Read process over again with the same end result! Its really pissing me off to be honest! I'm a powersports Tech and run my own Small engine performance machine shop. Ive worked with DynoJet, Bazzaz and other ECU tuning companies so Im not unfamiliar with this type of stuff but this Annoying. Ive had to Reflash ECU's for stuff before but not a open flash platform like this.

Hmm. I'm stumped at this point. There's a couple folks on here who have done a lot more with the oft than I have, so hopefully they will chime in. You can also call Openflash and they should be able to help you out.

Sorry I'm not much help. Good luck.

It probavly been tuned prevoiusly with ecutek or has a calid altered rom

Post up you rom ill have a look

In the meantime just dowload the tunes from openflash site upload to tavlet with openflashmanager try the b01c tunes, will likely work.

Oft will only auto generatectunes if your rom was 100% stock
