I'm also guessing you could do 2 maps one with the 85mm pulley and one with the 80mm pulley, both flex fueled or are two maps even needed? That way once I upgrade I can swap for track days with e85/92oct street (85mm) or street/autox e85 days (80mm)
We went with the ACT Xtreme plate / organic disk that we carry. It is a stiffer pedal (slightly) but still has an organic like smooth release. I'd say not super smooth, but smooth enough. Street lite flywheel is recommended for the SC cars since that inertia helps even out the blower drag a bit.

You can definitely go with two maps for the pulleys, but honestly I just run one tune. If I want to be "safe" I run the 85mm pulley with the 80mm tune. Automatically a couple degrees retarded on timing (relative to boost) and about 5% richer. So the pulley size drops boost and also makes a safer tune. That's what we've done for the track and long trips etc...

Yes you could optimize an 85mm tune, but it is still around 300 whp and the extra buffer has proven itself on the track. If I want all the power I spend the 3 minutes to swap pulleys back.

Likewise. May need to do the 72.5 to really get the most out of it if you drop the compression to 10 or below.

See how we get on with the 75mm for now but I'm sure I'll get curious at some point in the future

Nothing to report

Continues on ticking with no major issues. The new sight glass leaked a bit of fluid so we tightened it back up and no issues. Did some track time in this period and another track day next week, now with an oil cooler and big brakes so it should be less dramatic.

Minimal blow-by from what we see in the radium catch cans.

A few surprised subaru owners who don't understand the merits of instant response in a 60 MPH roll-on...

One surprised owner as to how much the car attracts LEO attention....new radar detector bought.

Otherwise totally issue free since we put this blower on 9 months and 11k miles ago. Even the set of RE-71Rs still has another track day in them. I expected to have been through a trans or some axles by now, but some of that is about how you drive. We regularly utilize our custom RaceROM traction control feature which prevents excessive wheel spin and the subsequent loading that can break axles/gears. Motor is otherwise unchanged in its performance though we will likely build it this winter if we ever finish the WRX.

For those that wonder: Pulley size is about 66% 80mm, 33% 85mm. We use the 85mm for track days to keep temperatures down. Generally 66% e85 over pump gas. It is $1.80 here now and with our flex fuel kit there's little reason to be on full pump gas unless that's all you have. If we know we'll be doing a good deal of pump gas use we'll switch to the 85mm pulley to reduce knock. Takes all of 3 minutes to switch.

But regardless we've run both sizes on pump gas, though again, we'd strongly advise against doing top-speed runs on the stock motor with the 80mm pulley on pump gas. Just too much heat by the time you get to the top of 5th/6th gear, all of which ethanol negates due to its cooling properties. "Reasonable" driving with pump gas has shown to be just fine on the 85mm pulley. It works on the 80 also, but you have to retard more timing at which point you're better with the bigger pulley and less boost.

At this point we're looking forward to the 335+ upgrade and will hope for 375-400 whp with a fully built motor come spring.
What components does the 335+ have that the regular does not?

I'm also interested in eventually running water/meth as I have no access to E85. Only E85 station is a ferry ride away.

I doubt we'll see it back here. It certainly won't be cheap if it does as the government aren't interested in subsidising it. That's why it disappeared before, it wasn't cost effective.
I would assume storage of this is only safe if you can store it away from your house.

I'm running 94 Chevron, but would love closer access to E85. Looking at water/meth in the future.

My supercharger is going in very soon. Waiting on full exhaust from JDL to arrive. I have read about the debate as to whether an oil cooler is necessary or not on the street and that it might actually hinder performance when not pushing the car to the limits, ie. street driving. Interested in possibly running a Mishimoto oil cooler or Perrin, but not sure if at this point it is a waste of money and should possibly upgrade in the future if I plan on running on the track, etc.

Also interested in everyone's thoughts on upgrade MAP sensor. From what I have read this only applies to turbo applications and is not required for superchargers including the 335 as we are running at a static set boost level.

With an 85mm pulley, is there a significant benefit over the 210 with 70mm?

d'oh for some reason I was thinking E85 for the 210 but not the 335 so it's about 45whp and 60wtq when both are on E85.

Any opinions on engine longevity on stock motor with 85mm 335 and E85?
