I may need to do try this. My overpipe is rattling too. The shop says it's from the added weight of my supercharger. And suggested stiffer motor mounts. But... that's more money. I'll be installing headers soon, so I'll have to see if I can do some adjusting to save money.

Yeah, that is my setup.
It doesn't look like enough gap in the picture, but its wider than it looks & doesn't make noise anymore.

I have had issues with the motiv OP before. I would recommend the @JDLAutoDesign 3" Overpipe midpipe combo that is connected via v-bands. I was skeptical at first, but after installing, I have plenty of clearance with that combo and it is 3".

I already have a mid pipe. You think that could be the culprit?

Nasty sound isn't it? I wrapped it a ton and it helped a little. After installing my header nothing seemed to change. What is ur set up?

My set ups is stock headers (for now, nameless going on soon), tomei op, nameless fp, and of course a q300. But I also have my cosworth supercharger sitting on top of my engine. So i'm not sure what the culprit is. Because it wasn't rattling till only recently.

Well I can tell the sound is coming from the overpipe because it comes from right under the passenger seat. Ita really noticeable.
