Poor Overpipe Clearance

Current'y i'm running Openflash Header, Invidia Over pipe, Invidia Front pipe, Invidia straight pipe, Invidia N1 tips. My Over pipe seems to have horrible clearance as it is knocking against the metal beneath it.

My question is, does anyone have a good overpipe they would recommend that has good clearance?

Also maybe the front pipe doesn't curve up enough? :iono:

TY in advance:sigh:

When I had a Perrin OP, I never had an issue.

Do you remember about how much clearance it has? Mine only has about a quarter of an inch. Also did you switch?

i also have no issues with my perrin, but i also know plenty of people running the invidia op without any issues. maybe you just need to loosen everything up and re-set and re-tighten in a better place where it won't hit the sub-frame.

I swapped to a 3 inch OP and front pipe.

I don't remember the clearance amount but it never hit anything.

I've tried that. I can't tell you the amount of time i was under there and tried moving everything. I ended up wrapping the overpipe so it didn't have that nasty metal on metal sound. I'll look into Perrin then.

if the perrin give you the same problem i'd look into the header as the culprit.

I've had no issues with my Motive op paired with either Stock, Nameless, or Tomei headers.

This was happening before the headers were installed.

Have HKS dual resonated front pipe. Installed Perrin 2.5" over pipe. After installed Perrin over pipe, get periodic vibration sound; BUT only occurs when traction control is off. Did not occur when traction control was off before installed OP

Have loosened and re tightened bolts OP, FP and tightened header bolts.

Suggestions where else I might look or what may be causing? Or what the correlation to traction control being off might be?

You may check this area too as shown in the pictures.
If the gap of indicated area is less than 1/4" when its cool, that is most likely where the noise comes from because metal expands after heat applied.

1. You can adjust the gap by realign OP since invidia flange holes are oval.

2. You can also adjust by front pipe hanger after tighen all exhaust together. I had to do this because PERRIN OP bolt holes are not oval.

3. Do both :)

Thats exactly where the poor clearance is. I tried moving everything up. I also tried moving the front pipe hanger as much as i can as well. Is that your set up? that doesn't look like a lot of clearance as well.
