I had to have my ecu reflashed and it helped. Can't tune it with that problem cause it needs to be reflashed first. It is a known issue and they will take care of u at scion just let them know. I do believe this is something that is a report so scion will fix the issue. Just make sure u have no aftermarket intake on when u bring it in.

So... you cant flash a new tune until you flash a new tune.

More damn idle issues... About to say bye to my frs

Take it to dealer for newer ecu flash.

Mine did it when it was brand new too. I fixed it by 1. Drop in filter (the rpm drop stopped after I pop-in a drop-in air filter, though it still does it with AC on for a long time) 2. Drive it hard on track & put on some good mile (mine rpm dont fluctuate at all even with AC on now, it sorta just stop doing it all together one day after track session... At like 11k mile)

Coming to a stop the car seems to drop about 200 Rpms from 700. Now the car idle hunts constantly from 700-650. When I drop it in neutral it idles fine but in reverse or drive (auto) it seems to drop to 500 rpm like it's coming to a stall then jumps back to the 650-700 rpm range and I get a bit of engine shake. Same when coming to a stop. I called a shop and they believe it might be bad DI injectors not too sure without them looking at it. Also the car is no longer under warranty.

I'm about to buy an oft but not sure if that will help or will it? Either way anyone else having this issue? If I don't find a fix for this in 2 weeks I'm leaving the frs scene.

With an auto tranny, when you are in D or R, there is a load on the engine. That's why you have to hold the brake...the car is trying to move. You are not really "idling".

How many miles are on the car? The 13's are known to have this problem(one of many). If you just bought it a few months ago, the dealer should have reflashed the car before selling it to you. They failed to do this, so it should be done at no cost to you.

My car has had almost all of the issues and im not letting it go. There are countless ways to fix the common problems and there is an endless amount of threads on how to do so.
Always research before picking up a car. The idle issue is nothing and can be fixed easily.

But if you are put off and want to sell the car based on this little problem now, do it before other issues that are actually serious happen.

I've been through two fuel pumps, about to get my third transmission, had both tail lights replaced, and now have a weird vibration sound right at 5,400 to 5,700 rpms.
