I'm going to say whiteline, because spherical mounts bump me out of stx.

RacerX is fine for just camber adjustments but doesn't come close to the adjustability to the SPL which has multiple sway bar link holes and lower shock mounting holes. I drive mine on the track a lot so the additional adjustment features on the SPL were a must have for me. I haven't found another LCA with comparable adjustability, tuning, features.

I've always wondered why the SPL LCA's don't have any cross bracing like every other LCA on the market. Are cross braces needed or not for rigidity?

Theoretically, there shouldn't be much torsional force about the center-line or shear force across the center plane. Also once the shock and sway bar are bolted up and torqued, they effectively add to the overall rigidity.

I think that is exactly right. If you look at where the shock and sway bar mount, they effectively split the open span into 1/3s with only a few inches between each span, which should be more than strong enough for the minimal forces the LCA will see in that direction. Also, I am not sure of the material used for other LCAs, but the SPLs are titanium, which could contribute to the lack of cross bracing required. |
