In the interest of helping the new guy:

Cheapest (and best bang for the buck): OFT (Open Flash Tablet)
Quick and easy. Great fun even on a bone-stock car. Run E-85 for even more fun.

Beyond that is/are intake and exhaust mods. FI is the only real option beyond that.

It's odd. The people who always say the stock car (power-wise at least) is fine seem to have zero interest in straight-line speed and get tingly gentleman's sausage syndrome in the curvy bits, where a stock FR-S is lacking nothing.

I appreciate the people who took this post seriously. I am genuinely interested in what is a better idea power wise a turbo which is average $5,000 or an engine swap which is cheaper and will give you more hp depending on what engine you put in. My next question is, is there any other engines worth putting in that have the same motor mounts so I wouldn't have to mount new ones?

Tcoat seems to be a fairly decent guy. Everyone busts each other's chops here. It's pretty clear that the OP has done a minimal amount of research on the topic. I mean, he thinks an engine swap is cheaper than forced induction...

The thread reeks of troll or at the very least lazy.

I found the power to be perfectly adequate. Perhaps a new car is what you need. You seem to have made a mistake buying a car you knew going in was not as powerful as you wanted. That's not the car's fault.

I'm curious how you're figuring that an engine swap is cheaper.

These are questions you should have asked before you bought the car. Have you bothered to look in any of those forums that are full of posts about the things you are asking about?

Learn your car first. Else, you'll be granny shifting and blow the welds in the intake. Not good.
