Turbo or new engine? Help!
I think that we can all come to an agreement that the FR-S is a very beautiful looking car, but there is one MAJOR thing lacking.... the horsepower and torque. I have heard of many ways that people have gotten the power they want out of this car. What I am asking for is idea's of what other people have done. I thank you very much for taking the time and writing a response. Have a great day!!!

Budget? Goals? Car used for? Skills?
An no we "all" can not agree there is a power issue as I am sure you will find out shortly! |

Although if asking about how good $500 coil overs are and the better ones are too much money then asking about turbos and engine swaps could be a tad trollish! |

I had a boosted D15 with a 4-speed. It was hilarious. |
Ok, I'm looking at putting an Orenda Iroquois in mine. This should take care of any & all competition.
It took me 2 yrs to buy this car, every thing I read about it, ie:200hp was ok by me. This is what I wanted. It was like a Opel GT, MGB... fun, light, yadda yadda yadda... It's a tuner car, have fun, do what you want :) So what's an Iroquois.... The LSX and 2JZ swaps just don't have enough power for this car IMO.
Which is why I decided to forgo pushrod engines altogether and transplant a Pratt & Whitney J58 into my car. I had to change the speedometer to knots because I was sick of counting revolutions of the dial to see what speed I was going. :party0030: |
