That's good to hear and reassuring, and funny/sad that it's a more reliable setup for you guys than the stock motors you lost

I like this post and thread. Very inspirational to get the JR kit. I like especially as it was done on a completely stock car and also raises the concern of heat soak within FI kits.
I was interested in the Innovate kit too. But after reading more about it and how the IC works, it seems a bit more complicated in its design. I never knew it was fluid to air cooled. I definitely don't want additional fluids and a radiator just to cool it. Seems like added complication. Its easy prefer air to air like ICing like on traditional turbos. The design in general seems restrictve as well, being a cooling plate right inside the plenum against the air flows path. Lastly, the actual SC is right on top of the block, which I'm sure will account for added heat soak compared to something not directly on top. What's the psi anyways of the standard JR kit? I assume your 245whp is using the stock pulley/psi too. Do the other pulleys work on it? |

There are no aftermarket pulleys or optional pulleys available for the JRSC at this time. |

Is Drift Office also using the standard pulley?? I saw their dyno video and it says "10 psi pulley". Idk if that means the standard pulley it came with or they changed it (since they mentioned it in the title in bold, it sounded like they changed it). As for 245Whp, especially considering thats on a complete stock car, carb tune, stock exh, this is quite impressive and is what I am after. My goal is to have a "decent" powered sportscar. Meaning, not the same power to weight as a miata or civic si lol. I'm not looking for something super powerful like a muscle car or a magazine super build. I just want something that's actually decent and not pathetically slow and can actually have "sportscar" power compared to other current modern sportscar offerings (similar power as stock s2k, genesis, z, base mustang, and so on). And seeing how 245whp is pretty much what Caymans and 996 base models are putting down to the wheels, this makes a a modest 245whp more than sufficient in this little car. From what I've seen: base Caymans put down 210-230whp, Cayman S and base 996s put down 240-260whp, and base 991s put down around 300whp. Making the 86 with a JRSC very similar to those in terms of power (and also 200-300lbs lighter). Yes, I'm a little obsessed with those Porsches haha. I can't get one though. Too expensive, major parts and maintanence costs cost as much as a JRSC kit lol and too many common major engine problems. |

Here's a question:
If using the CARB factory tune...and let's say you wanted to add a catback exh in the future, will this pose any problems with the EV and MAF readings to nessecitate and require getting a new tune? Also, will adding just a catback gain significant power improvement with the sc? If yes, how much? (Or are significant gains mostly from headers?) I know and I've already read that removing any cats and using a catless header/fp, that you will need a retune and the CARB factory tune won't work...just wondering if it's the same thing when using just a catback exhaust (with stock catted header and stock fp). No, a catback will not affect the tune. No, a catback will not yield any power, no matter what people (or vendors and maufacturers) tell you, if you have the stock cars. The major restriction when you have the cats, is the cats themselves. If you have construction reducing traffic to 2 lanes on a 6 lane highway, it will go the same speed as having construction reducing traffic to 2 lanes on a 8 lane highway. |

Cool. I like it quiet anyway. Though the thought of lighter weight was more of the reason I wanted one. But, I'll keep it stock.

If the frs feels slow, you're in the wrong gear.
