Lol qft. I tell myself every fill up that I'm gonna take it super easy, but it never happens. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear have a tendency to hit 3k+ every shift just to keep up with traffic.

I only shift below 3k when the car is cold and I'm babying it over the 9000 speed bumps between my parking spot and the parking lot exit...

Why... so... slow...? You're winding it up pretty good, this thing should be really pulling.

(apologies if already discussed somewhere)

It's 243ish whp per the Dynojet dynos.

However, it's not making that power here; this was in the desert, and ambient pressure was only about 13.4psi (versus ~14.7psi at sea level).

I was trying to get the CSG BRZ to overheat... and failed miserably.

We're running a new radiator prototype, and I can't even get coolant temps to top 200F anymore.

I also did some brief testing with high octane, and the car does feel faster. We're trying to schedule some dyno time...

Any updates on the radiator?

I'm getting close to pulling the trigger

We're working on a few things to try to stress the radiator more, but at this point, it looks like it'll be a go.

No promised dates though; it'll be ready when it's here.

Mike; two things:

Why did you choose the JR kit over the Kraftwerks kit? Also, can that JR oil cooler kit be used with other SC setups?

How is the JR kit holding up to track use?

I just saw this.

Do you want me to answer with facts or opinions as to why we chose one over the other?

Zero issues. How's this? We've blown up stock engines in less miles than we've put on with the SC.
