Since it's somewhat relevant here... has anyone run across the dimensions for the stock springs (or any 86 springs, really)?

Internal Diameter, External Diameter, Wire Diameter, # of Active Coils, Free Length, Solid/Block Length, Allowable Length, etc.

It would be nice to have this information available if people wanted to make custom springs (such as non-lowering stiffer springs).

I'm getting married next weekend, so after the honeymoon... I'll be back to contributing.

In lieu of legitimate progress, I present to you guys my 3D printed cake topper (currently being painted):

FRONT:
uncompressed height - 11.625"
wire dia. - .5"
coil OD - 4.625"
coil ID - math
number of coils - 5, but there is still the bottom coil for seating purposes

REAR:
uncompressed height - 10.5"
wire dia. - .5"
coil OD - 4.125"
coil ID - math
number of coils - 4, but there is still the bottom coil for seating purposes

One interesting note - The OEM dust boot/shield actually requires quite a bit of force to compress.

Thanks for the research! I've added your data to the Suspension Modelling thread. Your values yield ~250 lb/in (Front) and 450 lb/in (Rear)... which is a little high that's a good starting point for the group to refine.

I'll double check later. As for the coils, the 'start' and stop are not in line. It would be 5.5 coils or something like that.
