You have to lift the engine to pull the plugs.
It would be easier to pull the DI injectors than the plugs.
Either way, I'm sure they guy's at Rev Works have what they need to fix it and rebuild the motor

I sucked water when I had my Integra GS-R with an AEM CAI. Once my motor cut off I almost cried. Someone helped me push it off the road and I then had it towed home. The next day I removed the spark plugs and cranked out all the water then let it air out for a few hours. Put new spark plugs in and it fired up without any issue. Fortunately my motor was only idling when it took in water so I didn't bend/snap a rod. It ran strong and was stolen a year or two later.

At what RPM were you at when you sucked water? Did you see any oil or coolant leaking out? Or a hole in your block?

One time in CO I drove my jeep across a river. I wandered slightly off the "path" and ended up in a hole. The water was flowing through the drivers door and out the passengers door. My German Shepherd was in the back seat looking at me like "WTF?".

So, some friendly folks towed me out and the thing was hosed. We hung out for a little bit and then I had them tow me back through the river. Once on the road - I had them keep towing me while I was in 1st gear for about 3 miles. Then, the engine turned over and off I went. I never had it looked at our anything. It ran until I traded it in at a dealer 3 years later. That's why my other vehicle is a Wrangler

As others have said a new engine installed and guaranteed by subaru for $500 is a no brainer, if you can score the old engine even better but if its been genuinly hydrolocked it may have done a lot of subtle damage and stressed components even the block, not sure i would want to rebuild it for boost.

Guys seem to be running more than 6 pounds boost on stock motors sucessfully seem to be able to run 10-12 fairly reliably, if you run more than that your going to need more than motor upgrade. to handle the power reliably.

I have no idea what RPM I was at. I parked the car after driving through a rainstorm, then it wouldn't start the next day. So if it really is hydrolocked, it happened while the starting motor was turning it over. There was no oil or coolant leaks, and certainly no hole in the block

So wait, did the engine die during the rainstorm, or did you park the car with a running engine and shut it down then it wouldn't start later...

If it were me, I'd take the car home and do what I did to mine. Chances are you only fouled the spark plugs and have water in your cylinders. I think people that destroy their motors with a hydrolock are not idling and are up to 2000+ in RPMs. You were only cranking to start your car so there was not any power at the crank to really destroy anything.

As a member of a crazy 4x4 club, with scuba divers as members we had a lot of drowned motors as a result of deep water crossings.

We always stopped and let the engines cool before crossing lakes and rivers and kept revs low to avoid cracking a head if the motor sucked water.

In all cases of water intake into a cold low reving motor no permanent damage was done (we acted immediately).
After pulling the oil drain plug, allowing the pure water to drain, then letting a bit of the malted milkshake to drain, add some fresh oil, pull the plugs (or injectors for the diesels) crank, (avoid the bullet like jets of water from the plug holes), wire dryer and quick start (ether), then watch the steam from your exhaust until full oil change.

Did that with 2 of my own off road trucks, and helped many others do the same.

We had hose snorkels on our diffs, trannies, and transfer cases so all oils in the car should be changed as those areas could have sucked water past pinion seals etc. if the car was hot.
